CHINA RELAXES ONE CHILD POLICY

China has relaxed her one child policy and can now allow families birth up to two children. The policy was introduced around 1979 as an effort to checkmate the nation's  rapidly growing population. While the policy was in force, violators were made to pay fine and compelled to abort babies.
China was able to prevent about 400million births and raised about $3,143million in fines but its population suffered a gender imbalance that resulted in about 33million more men than women as well as a rapidly aging population.
Adjustment to the policy began with families with one parent from a one child home been allowed to have two children but has now been extended to all families.
