Former Head of Sate, General Yakubu Gowon has expressed reservations about the ability of the Nigerian military to meet the December deadline given her by the president, Muhammadu Buhari to end insurgency in the North-east.
Gowon has been quoted as saying " I can tell you this, nobody can really talk about when any particular operation is going to end. And as a former Commander-in-Chief, I know this"
Gowon also added "yes you can say you target a particular time, but it may go slightly beyond. To end it, that is the most important thing"
Hmmm...one can relate with some salient facts in his position.
