A Chinese court has sentenced a 71year old Communist Party critic to 5 years imprisonment. Gao Yu had been sentenced to seven years imprisonment but had the sentence reduced to five after she admitted leaking an internal Communist Party material known as Document No. 9.
This would be the third time Gao will be imprisoned and his son fears she may not survive another long incarceration.
