The family of an eight grade girl are getting an attorney because she was given detention due for Friday. The young student who repeatedly hugged a male student is to be detained in accordance with school's for improper conduct.
Matt Morgan, the attorney hired by the family has criticized the school's decision saying " it sends the wrong message to our children. They should be encouraged to be kind, not discouraged."
However, Seminole County School District spokesman Michael Lawrence said officials would review the rule.
