Chairman of DAAR Communications Plc, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi was today arraigned before a Federal High Court in the nation's capital city, Abuja.
Dokpesi alongside his company, Daar Investment and Holdings Ltd is facing trial over the receipt of payment of N2.1billion from the nation's former National Security Adviser within five months beginning from October to March 2015.
The said amount was paid to the media proprietor with respect to coverage of the campaign activities of former president Goddluck Jonathan and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party in the last general elections.
The presiding judge, Justice Gabriel Kolawole ordered his remand in EFCC custody pending his bail application hearing by 12:30pm on Thursday whereas trial on the matter comes up on 17 and 18 February and 2 and 3 March.
