NO FEES HIKE IN SOUTH AFRICA UNIVERSITIES

Following days of protest over planned hikes in school fees in Universities in South Africa, President Jacob Zuma announced yesterday that tertiary institutions in the country would not increase fees. 




However, the announcement did not come until incidences of police firing tear gas and sustained volleys of rubber bullets in an effort to clear the grounds of the Union Buildings housing government offices.
