Comedian Steve Harvey was billed to announce the names of the winner and runners up of the Miss Universe 2015 Beauty Pageant. Announce he did but alas he announced the wrong person winner of the pageant.
Steve Harvey had erroneously announced Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutienez as winner instead of Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach but immediately apologized when he realised the error.
Looking evidently penitent, he said "Okay folks I have to apologise. Miss Colombia was first runner up. The real winner was Miss Philippines".
May be his comic part took the best of him at that moment.
