At least five Deputy Comptroller Generals of the Nigeria Custom Service have tendered their resignations to the Comptroller General of the service, Hameed Ali. Their resignations is claimed by the service as part of efforts at reorganizing the service.
The officers include John Atte ( Finance,Administration and Technical Services), Adewuyi Akinade (Tariff and Trade), Austin Nwosu (Strategic Research and Policy), Musa Tafir (Enforcement, Investment and Inspection), Ibrahim Mera (Human Resource Development).
Other twenty nine officials were also retired from the service.
