Singer Taylor Swift is facing $42 million for the lyrical content of her hit single 'shake it off'. The song Jessie Braham claims similarity with his song "Haters Gone Hate"released in 2013.
Her hook is the same hook as mine,’’ Braham told the New York Daily News. He went on to state, “If I didn’t write the song ‘Haters Gone Hate,’ there wouldn’t be a song called ‘Shake It Off’.” He further said “At first I was going to let go,” Braham continued. “But this song is my song all the way.”
Graham claims to have sought to reach out to Big Machine, Swift's record label to request to be identified as a writer in the song, as well as get a selfie with Taylor but both requests were not granted.
